  1. Jul 10,  · And then there is the FREDDIE KING LIVE SHOW! It's almost TOO long! minutes of music is unheard of (and is not a complaint, really, in the least). Again OVER 2 hours of Live music on 2 discs. Awesome. Love hearing the slower version of B.B King's "Rock Me Baby". Also a good version B.B's "Ain't Nobody's Business"/5(39).

  5. Jul 10,  · Freddie was such a force of nature (as a singer and guitarist) that any previously unreleased live performance is a godsend. This one, from Hamburg, Germany in ’75, features "Going Down," "Ain’t Nobody’s Business," "Sweet Home Chicago," "Messin’ with the Kid," "Have You Ever Loved a Woman," "Rock Me Baby," "Mojo Boogie," "Feelin’ Alright," "King’s Thing" and more .
  6. Freddie King. Although he was born near Gilmer, Texas, on September 3, , Freddy King spent his musically formative years in Chicago. From to , the handsome guitarist contributed to changing the blues of Windy City from ensemble tradition to the new, more aggressive sound of the West Side - with his sensational guitar skills and roaring vocals.

  9. Fortunately "Going Down at Onkel Po's" is not a middling Freddie King release. This is a concert at Hamburg's Carnegie Hall from a seventies Freddie King German tour. The first thing of note is the overall sound. The bass can actually be heard, although probably writing that the bass can be felt, would be more accurate.
